cupcakes (aka food madness for vally’s 18th birthday)
We tended to go overboard when it came to Vally’s parties and food. Here, we assembled two cupcake armies: Penguins and Pandas. Both were devoured at the Battle of the (belly) Bulge.
Jennie made most of them, although we created an assembly line with the kids to put everything together. The pug, however, came from the sister of a schoolmate of our daughter: http://www.facebook.com/ladyhalcyon
She had her own baking business for a while, but got married, moved to Seattle, and now appears to have quit (or at least no longer has a facebook profile for her business).
The potatoes with caviar and sour cream were my contribution, as were the piles of lightly charred flesh from the grill.
Pretty nice spread – who’s the talent in the family?
